(If you flew out on December 22, 2008.) =P

I guess it's kind of nice to know that all of our frustration was at least in the service of others. ^_~

But really, it would've been so much LESS frustrating if Air Canada had simply told us that was what was happening at the time.Preseahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05375588940765390895noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5977841784473237311.post-30489404772310012009-06-18T05:09:05.233+09:002009-06-18T05:09:05.233+09:00This wouldn't happen to be a flight around the...This wouldn't happen to be a flight around the 22nd-23rd ish of december 08, would it?

Believe it or not, I was one of the people delayed on the way to Hong Kong! We were delayed (on the plane, not in the airport, but sitting in the plane) for about 6 hours on the 21st, before we were sent back to the terminal amidst the chaos. Our flight was one of the few filghts that was delayed and NOT cancelled like every other flight due to the weather. Had to stay the night in the airport (as I was transferring from Edmonton and had nowhere to stay, plus the airport hotel was filled) and didn't end up leaving YVR until 25 hours after my scheduled departure.

'Twas not a fun experience.

I remember an announcement about us swapping planes, and while it added more frustration it got me off the ground sooner, and I can't complain. However I didn't realize the effects of that, heh.

I did, however, get granted a $500 AC credit in a message very similar to yours.

Anyway, best of luck, but I just found it pretty cool how we are related through the whole debacle.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08236473918151310412noreply@blogger.com
